"If you are looking for a vacation away from the hustle and yet still 20 minute drive to all the activities, this is the place. Super clean and every person we meet was very friendly. The only problem was we didn't stay long enough. We will definitely be back."

"We loved our stay here! The condo kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, decor was perfectly beachy, the view of the beach and pool was gorgeous, and communication with the property managers was fast and easy. We even saw a cruise ship sail by one evening!

It's a short 5 minute walk to the beach down a little road w/a sidewalk. Definitely bring a wagon.

The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub was easy to access and very nice.

The whole Fort Morgan area is quiet and beautiful and far out of the way of crowds. It made for some beautiful beach views without a ton of people. It was a very family-friendly area to be, so even on Spring Break, we didn't have any loud partying or music or rowdy people to contend with.

Tacky Jack's is across the street, but otherwise, I'd always plan to bring all of our meals/food/groceries with us, so we wouldn't have to drive back to town (about 25 minute drive). Other than driving the mile and a half to the Fort Morgan Historic site (which was a cool place to explore), we didn't even get into the car for three and a half days and just stayed on property. Bringing bikes would be a fun idea too!

A couple of improvements I'd recommend for the condo:

Add a lounge-style chair for the patio for something a little more "relaxing" to sit on outside (we loved the high top 4-seater table though too for eating outside).

A large-wheeled wagon and backpack chairs would be a helpful provided beach equipment for guests, so you don't have to pack your own large items.

Blackout curtains for the master bedroom and patio doors would be nice. The elevator landing lights are very bright right outside the master bedroom window, and of course the sun is bright in the living room, which is open to the bunk bed area.

I slept with ear plugs and didn't hear a thing. The kids said they heard construction equipment beeping early in the morning on Monday.

"I overall enjoyed my Fort Morgan experience with Sunset Properties. I do have some concerns though. I had some minor maintenance issues that weren't resolved whole I was there after proper notification. I had one major maintenance issue that wasn't resolved or shall I say any communication rendered after initial contact. I didn't let this affect my stay though. Sunset did hear my concerns without conflict and seemed genuine. They have some perks with your stay that were very nice. I would stay with them again."

"The rental was ok. The carpet in the bedroom was very dirty . The fitted sheet would not stay on the king bed due to a water proof case that was around the Mattress. Reported broken ice maker twice and it was not fixed before we left . "

"This our family's third visit to the Dunes. We very much enjoyed the condo at Dunes 304. We had an issue with the electronic keypad not locking. I called Sunset Properties after hours. Within a 15 minute window, maintenance was on site and the problem (needed batteries replaced) was fixed. Our family of four (two teenagers) enjoyed the condo. I could not have been more pleased with the location, the property, and their promptness to the keypad issue. We would most definitely stay here again. "

"I loved everything about it, the beach is a little bit of a walk when you have 4 kiddos like us! BUT watching dolphins jump in the o ran while your sitting on the patio ❤️ The pool being right below us was a definite plus, my girls lounged in the pool while me and my husband sat on the patio and could see them in the pool! Not having to pack around a key was also a plus for us!
The condo was clean and all the space we needed! Just be sure to pack any cleaning supplies you may need, they did have stuff for 1 day if you forgot which was awesome! The staff was super nice and helpful when we were looking for places! We used the grilling area a couple days and it was super convenient! "

"The property was very clean and kept nice. They only issue I found was that there were no paper goods provided. I was not expecting to have to purchase my own toilet paper and paper towels. I through those items would have been provided. The distance back to Gulf Shores would not have been a problem if I did not have kids with me. Traveling back and forth was a bit of a distraction but wasn't a deal breaker. I would definitely stay here again. "

"Our last minute week-end getaway was a great experience. Management text me the gate and door code so we didn't have to worry about arriving late on Friday night. The condo was in a quite area near Fort Morgan. (About 20 miles from the city of Gulf Shores.) Very clean condo, nice pool, and beautiful beach which was an easy walk from the condo. Nice having 2 bathrooms! Tacky Jacks 2 is within walking distance and has great food. Definitely hope to stay at The Dunes again soon."

"I enjoyed the stay for the most part. We had issues with construction on site. We would go to the beach in the morning and come back to have lunch and we wouldn’t be able to hear each other in conversation because the noise was so loud. As long as we weren’t in the condo during the day light hours the trip was great. "

"Rental unit was clean, nicely decorated, and had nice kitchen appliances. The beds were comfortable and plenty of linen and pillows were available. Having washer/dryer in unit was very convenient. Unit is located right by the elevators on third floor, so getting supplies from parking lot to the unit is a breeze (especially when you use the large polycarts that are available and stationed by the elevators); however being near the elevators does mean there is a bit of noise (which wasn’t bad during my stay) and there are also brights lights by the elevators that are on all night. A blackout curtain is available in the bedroom to blockout the exterior lighting.

If you are looking for a relaxing stay in Fort Morgan with access to a beautiful beach that is not overcrowded, this unit is perfect for you.

Drawbacks....the onsite pool was broken for duration of our stay but a nearby pool was made available to guests while the onsite pool was being repaired. If the reason for your stay is to shop in Gulf Shores or party all night at beachside establishments like the Hangout, this unit may not be for you; it is in Fort Morgan and is at least a 15 minute drive from the Gulf Shore hotspots."

We traveled with our 8 month old and felt that there was plenty of room for the 3 of us.

The property was clean and well-maintained although the fixtures and some furnishings are a little dated they were comfortable.

The customer service I experienced was PHENOMENAL. I was able to text with someone a few times which was very helpful when trying to pack for the baby (making sure there was a bathtub) and when we got confused (due to some contradictions on the app) about needing keys.

We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a family friendly vacation rental!

The only complaints i could say are the cooking pots and pans, being non stick were all in rough shape and i believe that is unsafe to use that way. And being a dog freindly area i was disappointed to see considerable dog **** in the sand on the beach. This certainly has nothing to with Sunset but is the unfortunate realty of careless and unthinking owners who have little concern for others and left a negative in my mind."
