"My husband and I have stayed here on many occasions and it is absolutely fabulous. Just secluded enough that you could almost believe you were on your own island. Love watching the dolphins while having morning coffee. Fishing off the deck and catching your own crabs to eat - well it doesn't get any better or fresher than this. You are literally just minutes away from the beach and then you get to come home (because that is what it will feel like to you) to this wonderful place. Would highly recommend the Hanger Outer for anyone looking for a fantastic getaway! I can hardly wait for our next trip there."

Great Property

"We have stayed at this house multiple times and will be back 4th of July week. You can fish in the morning and evening or sit in the hot tub and watch the dolphins. I like that you can spend your day at the beach then relax in the private hot tub at night. It is very private and secluded. You can also catch your own crabs off the dock to have for dinner. We can’t wait for our trip back. "

"We enjoyed our stay. The location was great and so was the house and outside area. It needs a really good cleaning and the upstairs slider didn't work well some new cushions on outdoor furniture some minor things but it was just as advertised everything there you need to get started and we had crab that we caught off dock for dinner and saw dolphins daily. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. "

"If you’re looking for somewhere that is private, has a boat dock, a big yard and you can fish then look no further. This isn’t no fancy five star home but if your down to earth and looking for a peaceful quiet getaway, then this place if perfect. We loved watching the sunset, crabbing and fishing. It was so nice to be able to go out on our boat without constantly going to a boat launch. The home was clean and quite big. The neighbor Mike was a bonus as he was super friendly and helpful. It was very close to town by land or boat. I would definitely stay here again, maybe in the cooler months so I can get in the hot tub out under the gazebo. The only complaint I have is the window ac unit needed to be cleaned, and a few of the ceiling vent fans. "

"The Hanger Outer was as described. It was very clean and comfortable. The neighbors were very nice and the entire neighborhood on the loop were friendly. The hot tub was a bonus. You can kick back and enjoy the herons, pelicans, osprey, and a bald eagle from the docks, back patio, and upper bedroom deck. We enjoyed parasailing and the delicious food at the Pink Pony Pub. You won’t be disappointed staying at the Hanger Outer."

"We really enjoyed our week at the Hangar Outer. With our Chihuahua on her first vacation we didn't want to worry about her possible goof-ups, as it was she was awesome but this place would have afforded easy clean up. More than enough room for us could have had several more. Air worked great, kitchen stocked, but we brought iron skillet and grill pans, and mist other things. Fridge worked great. But we had coolers with already chilled stuff. Beds comfy enough, master was better than it looked. Outside was outstanding, brought a wagon for hauling gear to pier, recommend and the boardwalk and pier all in good shape. Husband enjoyed the hot tub, fishing and chilling out on the dock. He paid wit lots of bug bites, I had few.�� Kind of not convenient to eating out etc, but a 10-15 minute drive or delivery was an option. Great place, nice relaxing vacation."

"The house was a little run down but it was just weird enough for us. The downstairs was cool and felt like a garage hangout. The upstairs felt more homey. Although there were some issues with the house like cracked tile in the bathroom upstairs and the dock being a little old, we really enjoyed ourselves!

We fished every night off the piers and caught a ton of catfish. The coolest part were the dolphins that swam up to the dock every night around 9-10pm! It was so cool to see them so close. The nature alone is worth you staying in this property. Also the neighbors are very friendly! I would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for such a fun time! Our dogs absolutely loved it as well!"

"This is our second summer staying at Hangar Outer. The remodel was very nice! It offered more places to sleep and more room to move around. The outside area is our favorite. We have a Labrador that absolutely loves the yard and water! We saw dolphins almost daily and caught a lot of crab off the pier. This is a great place for a family gathering!"

"Love this place. You feel very secluded from gulf shores yet are only 5 minutes from it. Its very comfy. The only negative I have is the lack of pots and pans in the kitchen. Makes it hard to cook anything. But everything else is good."

"It reminded me of an older lake house. Very quiet location with friendly neighbors. Neighbors around do clean and fillet their fish and throw the fish back into the water, so be aware that you may see dead fish, snakes, turkey vulture, rats, various bug, etc. Great spot for guys that want to fish. "Nice secluded house with very cool unique decorations. Great customer service. Very helpful with reservation questions. Ease in reserving. Due to Covid, we reserved it to stay away from the crowds. I do not recommend it for someone unable to climb stairs. The bedrooms are upstairs. There is a sofa sleeper downstairs, I believe. No dishwasher which we were aware of but would be a nice added feature. We did have to fight off mosquitoes while trying to fish, which I know the property owner cannot control. Pack bug spray. It is a nice place to relax. "

"Upon arrival we could not gain access to house because code was not working. There needs to be someone overseeing the cleaning service. This property was not properly cleaned in some time. Most items in kitchen from plates to pots all had to be washed store use. Had to sweep floors because sand and old food was near edges of living area and kitchen. Rear sliding door was very hard to use because rollers were rusted. House was nice but rental company needs to oversee daily functions"

"I apologize for the code not working. It was set to work early for you, but, apparently, the system did not recognize the change in the entry time. If you had contacted us, we would have sent housekeeping back to clean for you. That is not the standard we expect from our cleaners. I hope you will come back and stay with us again. "

"We just returned from our stay at Hanger Outer. Great spot for hanging out outdoors and fishing, crabbing. Property was clean and in generally good condition. Some of the outdoor lighting along the board walk aren’t operational and the cover to 5he hot tub is also taped together, but it served the purpose. It’s a wonderful property but if some attention isn’t given to the boardwalk that is shifting into the water and some planks aren’t secured, the property would lose much of it’s appeal. Bed was comfortable., Bathrooms are very minimal, but served the purpose. Biggest drawback to us was a lack of dishwasher so all dishes must be hand washed, but space doesn’t allow for it. I found the decor fascinating and views were great. The canal next to property serves A great deal of homes, so Weekends had tons of in and out traffic from mainly kids on SeaDoos. They were respectful but made fishing a futile effort during the day. Neighbors that share the drive are great people. We look forward to future visits as long as the hot tub and outdoor facilities are kept maintained . Property is well stocked with pans, utensils, grills, etc. if you like to cook, I would suggest bring8ng a good knife. I even brought a knife sharpener but the knives in kitchen really wouldn’t cut anything or hold an edge . I list these items as an honest review, but none would keep me from staying here again . "

Our housekeeping does deep cleans on our properties in the fall which includes an inventory of missing or worn items that need to be replaced. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. "It is a special place, we have visited it several times, we recommend it to our friends and family.
It is a quiet, outside the tourist zone place that is perfect for family. We stay here, drive the short drive to Fort Morgan for the beach (Bay or Gulf, your choice) and completely avoid the crowds. Don’t care to stay anywhere else. If you have a reservation and can’t go, call us and we will go in your place.. Just kidding, sort of, but it is that good,"

"We loved this place. We caught quiet a few speckled trout. We are a family of six with kids 1,5, 9 & 11. They all had the best time. It’s not high end and fancy but it’s got so much personality. Beds are super comfortable. We loved to visit the beach but have our own place to come back to. Be sure to bring your own trash bags, extra toilet paper and live shrimp (for fishing)! Our only suggestions were to replace the hot tub cover for fear of it breaking while a guest is using it and to make sure guest clean up after dogs outside. With a toddler around dog poop piles are a hazard. We will be back!"

"This place was relaxing, quiet, and an easy spot to let the kids hang out on property and fish, jump in the hot tub and relax. With the pandemic, we did not want to be near a bunch of people crowding the beach and this place was perfect for that! If you like to slow it down and hang out in a retro, spacious place then this is where you want to go. If you want the beach and pool then it is not, but it is not a long drive to do that."

"Great place. There are neighbors close by who are very nice and helpful but when you are in the large back yard it feels secluded. Bringing the boat was fun but we had some cold weather so we used it less than I thought we would. The Track for go carts, mini gulf, the beach, the wharf and many more fun places are close by for kids and adults. I heard the tin top restaurant is good but we brought enough food that we did not go out to eat at all. We rarely left the place (except for go carts) it was great. The Hanger outer is relaxing with fun stuff to do in the area. I would stay longer next time. Fishing was a little slow because of the cold weather but we caught a 40 inch black drum, stingray, blue crabs and of course catfish. This is my ideal vacation home. Like a home away from home."

"The house was extremely clean and convenient to access the water and town. Fishing right from the pier was a lot of fun and we caught cat fish and red fish. The sunrise from the master bedroom is spectacular and a great way to start the day. Loved this house! "
